Meta Verified can help, but not the way most people expect. It doesn't restore an account on its own. It gives a verified account access to Meta's account support, a chat with a real person, and that chat is where you can ask about your disabled account. You need a second, genuine account in your own name to subscribe on, and you need to be 18 or over.
A lot of people we hear from have already tried this and hit a wall: "I have appealed it, and have the meta verification and still no luck." Others couldn't get verified at all. Here is how it fits together, and where it usually goes wrong.
Meta Verified is Meta's own monthly subscription for Instagram and Facebook. Meta first offered it in Australia and New Zealand in 2023. It verifies your identity against government ID and, among other things, includes access to account support. For a disabled account, that support chat is the part that matters: it is the most reliable way we know to get a person at Meta to look at your case.
The price shows in the app before you confirm. It can differ between subscribing inside the app and on the web, and Meta changes it from time to time. You can cancel once your account is back.
No. You can't log in to it, so you subscribe on a second account that you own, then use that account's support chat to ask about the disabled one.
That second account matters. It has to be genuinely yours. Meta's eligibility rules for Meta Verified include:
An existing Facebook profile you have used for years is often the easiest choice, because it is already established. Never buy, borrow or share an account for this. Meta checks identity against government ID, and a borrowed account puts the whole recovery at risk.
This is common: almost 100 people told us they had no other working account, and around 60 said every new account they made was banned straight away. Usually that is because the new account is linked to the disabled ones from the start, through the same phone or details.
It can be done, but it needs patience. A new account has to look and behave like a real person's account before Meta will verify it: your real name, your face, and real photos posted over the first week or two, not stock images. If several accounts went down together, read all your accounts disabled at once first.
From what people tell us, these are the common blocks:
You tell the agent which account is disabled and ask for it to be reviewed. Have the details ready: the username, the email and phone on it, the date it went down, and Meta's reason.
Expect some friction. Agents often reply with a script, say they can't help with that, or say the account was "correctly disabled". Some ask you to prove the disabled account is yours. A "no" in the chat is common, and it is rarely the last word. Our technicians rest 24 to 48 hours, reword the case around what Meta said, and retry. Opening chat after chat on the same day can count against you.
If Meta approves it, the account can still take a few days to come back. That gap is normal.
SafetyNet is an independent Brisbane cyber security company. We work for you, not for Meta, and Meta makes the final decision on every account.
The Recovery Kit takes you through the whole route, one step at a time on your phone: setting up a second account Meta will verify, getting Meta Verified without paying for months you don't need, finding the support chat, what to say, what to do after a scripted reply, and when to try again. It logs every attempt and Meta's reply, and a specialist on our team reads your first appeal before you send it.
The Kit is A$79, one-time, with 12 months of access. Meta Verified is a separate subscription you pay Meta directly. The Kit never needs your password or a login code, and you need to be 18 or over.
Not on its own. It gives a verified account access to Meta's account support, a chat with a person, where you can ask for the disabled account to be reviewed. Meta still makes the decision.
No. Meta Verified is only for people 18 or over, so this route isn't available to under-18s.
Try subscribing from the other app. Instagram and Facebook process Meta Verified separately, so one may let you through when the other doesn't.
